What is Sea Glass?
Sea glass or Beach Glass is basically old bottles and jars that have found their way into the water. After years of being tossed and broken in the sand and waves, the surf carries these frosted jewels to the waters edge.
Sea glass comes in a variety of colors. Green, white, and brown are the most common. Aquas, blues, lime greens, and lavenders are rare. The colors yellow, black, gray and turquoise are considered "extremely rare". Anyone lucky enough to find sea glass that is red or orange has found what is considered the most coveted of all colors.
